Unforgettable Journey From Chandigarh to Amritsar

Unforgettable Journey From Chandigarh to Amritsar

Hi! I want to narrate my trip to Amritsar. It was a great moment to visit Amritsar with a group of friends and colleagues in a mild winter season. Really it was a great experience for my life to be there. The whole journey was so exciting for me. We reached there by 4 a.m. before dawn.

Golden Temple

The view of Golden temple was amazing in colourful lights. The area surroundings Golden Temple was absolute astonished me. Purely structure in red and white, fountains, sculpture of Sikh legacy tell their own story. The view of Golden Temple in the lake and golden view were making rosy picture in front of us. That’s why people come to see Golden Temple. The Golden Temple is also known as Harminder Sahib or Darbar Sahib. The foundation stone of Golden Temple was kept by Mian Meer and built by Sikh Guru Ram Das Jee. It is a place of beauty and sublime peacefulness. It is not a central religious place of Sikhs but also a symbol of equality.

Jallianwalla Bagh-

The Jallianwalla Bagh close to Golden Temple tell its own story of  sacrifice and cruelty of British Empire. The jallianwalla Bagh massacre, also known as Amritsar massacre, took place in 1919.It is a public garden of 6 to 7 started shooting at unarmed gathering of people. They were gathered for a meeting. That time Reginald Dyer was the military commander of Amritsar.

Attari Border-

At the end of the tour we visited to Atari Border. Atari is also spelled as Atari or Wagah Border. It is a village of Amritsar district. It is 3 kilometres from Indo –Pakistani border at Wagah. Wagah border is a post between India and Pakistan. What I saw about Atari Border. The excitement of both nation people looks so amazing. Even foreigners also visit at Atari boarder to see this exciting flag ceremony.  Patriotism enters automatically in all Indian hearts. The Soldiers of BSF, their way and style of parade fill bravery in all Indian hearts. The mob shouting, slogans and drum beat of BSF really send us in patriotism world.
The Flag ceremony at Atari Boarder shown various colour of dignity and made me proud to be an Indian.

Way back to Chandigarh:-
After Flag ceremony at Atari Boarder we returned to our homes with group members. There are lots of small and big restaurants are on the way to delight the appetite. Our team also hanged at one among them and enjoyed delicious food.
Really it was an unforgettable memory for entire life. If fortune will favour I would like to visit again to see this historical place.
